1st North Carolina Company E offers monthly activities on the Cameron Art Museum grounds. The community is invited to watch drills, rifle firings and more, plus chat with the reenactors about their passion for Civil War living history. Also explore the Museum’s historic site where Major General Robert F. Hoke made his last stand against Union soldiers made up primarily of U.S. Colored Troops in the final fight for Wilmington, NC on February 20, 1865, the Battle of Forks Road. HOURS: 10am to 2pm.
