Description:
Projekte in Wilmington, NC, presents Urban Transformation featuring artists' work depicting modifications made to urban spaces which through their physical changes speak of history and activity. The exhibit showcases local art work of various mediums, as well as some informative pieces that will display what can and has been done to some urban spaces within the Port City and beyond. Featuring work by local architect Toby Keeton, who displays his design, Span the Strip, which explores the reuse of aging strip malls, and asks the question: What if we re-purposed these facilities as nodes of pedestrian connection for formerly separated neighborhoods?
Opening reception includes live music by James Benshoff and light hors d'oeuvre.
