The City of Wilmington and Friends of Empie Park invite the community to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Center Court at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex at Empie Park in Wilmington, NC. The event features a word from Mayor Bill Saffo and a local professional round-robin exhibition match. Food trucks will be on hand and beer/wine will be available for purchase at the clubhouse. Also included are prizes, raffles, and a silent auction. All proceeds go toward improvements at Empie Park. This is a BYOC event (bring your own chair). HOURS: 5-8pm.
