The 13th Annual North Carolina Black Film Festival in Wilmington is a juried competition of independent movies made by African-Americans showcasing feature films, shorts, animation and documentaries.
Thursday, 6pm: CineMixer at Cameron Art Museum, 3201 South 17th Street, Wilmington
Friday, 6pm: Screenings at Jengo's Playhouse, 815 Princess Street, Wilmington ($5 per block)
Saturday, 10am: Filmmaker Brunch and Networking at Community Arts Center, 120 South 2nd Street, Wilmington ($10); Family Cinema suitable for young audiences, 10am to Noon (free); Screenings, Noon, Documentaries, Short and Feature Films, Music Videos ($5 per block)
Sunday, 3pm: African Dance at Cameron Art Museum, 3201 South 17th Street, with Cheick Sissoko Soko African Dance from Charlotte, followed by a Fashion Showcase inspired by the film, Coming to America ($10)
