Opera House Theatre Company in Wilmington, N.C., presents Evita at Thalian Hall. The production, told in song and dance, is the story of the charismatic Eva Peron, a woman who was a bastard at 15, a starlet at 22, the president of Argentina's lover at 24, First Lady at 27, and deceased at 33. A heroine to the working poor, snubbed by the wealthy, and mistrusted by the military, Evita was a complicated person whose life after death has produced one of Broadway's most fascinating musicals, featuring the worldwide hit, Don't Cry for Me, Argentina. Please note: The Sunday performance is a matinee beginning at 3pm.
