Description:

Cape Fear Museum in Wilmington presents Remembering Hurricane Floyd, which 20 years ago forever changed how the Cape Fear region responds to hurricanes and inland flooding. The program features an expert panel of meteorologists who will discuss the storm and its impacts: Jerry Jackson from WNCT, Gannon Medwick from WECT, Lee Haywood from WWAY, Tom Collins from Pender County Emergency Management, and Tim Armstrong from the National Weather Service. New Hanover County Senior Resource Center personnel will also be available to sign county residents up for the Special Needs Registry. Individuals who have special medical or functional needs that place them at higher risk during an emergency event are encouraged to sign up as part of their Emergency Preparedness Plan.
