Description:
Thalian Association presents La Cage Aux Folles at historic Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington NC. After 20 years of un-wedded bliss, two gay men, Georges and Albin, receive a jolt when Georges’ son announces he's engaged to the daughter of a bigoted politician. Making matters worse: Albin and Georges run a drag nightclub in St. Tropez, where Albin is the star performer. Georges reluctantly agrees to masquerade as hetero when he meets the family of the bride-to-be, but Albin has other plans. Both hilarious and heartfelt, this musical classic features a score by Jerry Herman, the composer of Hello, Dolly! and Mame. Directed by Tom Briggs. PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE.
