Carolina Beach Lake Park hosts Movies at the Lake each Sunday evening through Sept. 2. A summertime treat for adults and kids alike, guests are welcome to bring chairs, food and drinks, and the venue offers popcorn, candy, soft drinks, cotton candy, and more for sale. This evening's movie is Hugo. Directed by Martin Scorcese, the film is set in 1930s Paris, where an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. Movie begins at dusk (about 8:45pm). Movies are subject to change and are weather permitting.
Running time: 2 hour, 6 minutes. Rated PG.
