Elliot Daingerfield (1859-1932) is one of North Carolina’s most prolific and well-known artists, and his work is on display at Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, NC. Elliot Daingerfield: Art and Life in North Carolina showcases more than 60 paintings and drawings from both private and museum collections. Influenced by Impressionist and Symbolist artists of his time, his paintings radiate an ethereal quality. In this exhibition Daingerfield’s story is told through both personal objects and ephemera on loan from the Daingerfield family.
