Description:
In the Dragonflies & Butterflies Workshop at Halyburton Park in Wilmington, NC, participants will learn about the life cycles, behaviors and ecological significance of these amazing insects. Areas of discovery include investigation of larval host plants, aquatic dip netting, aerial insect netting and hiking different natural areas in the Port City. Instructors: Andy Fairbanks, Park Manager at Halyburton Park; and Matt Collogan, Environmental Education Manager at Airlie Gardens. HOURS: 9am to 4pm.
